Getting Rid of Acne at Home

Terrible is the feeling that you get when you wake up every morning to the zits that prop out of nowhere on your face. More terrible are the adamant marks that refuse to budge even when the acne has receded. While some of the annoyed souls would visit a beauty parlour to get rid of the monsters, some would just resort to home techniques to bid them adieu.

Acnes are easy to get hold of, and equally easy to get rid of, too. All that you need to do to get for acne treatment is try out few home baked remedies. Voila, Voila!

Baking Soda

Baking soda or Sodium Bicarbonate is cushion like gentle to your skin. In the garb of an antiseptic and an anti inflammatory agent, it protects the skin from infection. It is a catalyst that spurs exfoliation and regulates the Ph balance of the skin. A concoction of a teaspoon of baking powder, cinnamon powder, honey and lemon, it comes in as tremendous relief.

Toothpaste

While applying toothpaste on acne and pimples might sound too gross to be tried, the fact is that applying toothpaste on the affected areas curbs the inflammation. Apply a small amount of it before going to bed and wake up to a refreshing self.

Lemon Juice

Mix a teaspoon of lemon juice with rose water and wash the affected area with the melange. Lemon’s acidic properties can be a panacea to the ever placating pimple problem.

Oatmeal

Again sounds like a frivolous piece of advice, doesn't it? Well, it turns out that all unexpected things show unexpectedly positive results. Take a teaspoon of honey and juice of half a lemon and scrap them together in a plate of cooked oatmeal. Spread it over your face for magical results.

In addition to these acne treatments, you can try turmeric powder compounded with neam leaves, too. Applying the mixture on the face for half an hour can perpetuate wonders.

Makeup Mistakes- Part 1

You put on some make up in an adequately lit room and think that you have put it just right without overdoing or under doing anything. But when you move out of the confines of your room, into the brightly or dimly lit ambience, you might have people staring at you with a queer expression on their faces. Wonder why?

It is your make up and your flawed perception that you have done it all right. Apparently, you haven’t.

People who don makeup and its various elements on their faces and the people who like doing it should always keep certain things in mind to avoid making make-up a mess. Here is what all the people who are learning how to put makeup via a makeup courses or people who love doing it for themselves should have in their must-know list.

Over Powdering

You think that the stuff is translucent and won’t expose your face to the heaps of it that you slop on your face. However, excess of powder settles on your face, in between the wrinkles and cuts and lends a very ghostly, cakey look to your otherwise radiant face. You wouldn’t want to get out with that clown like look on your face now, would you?

Always choose a light powder, and use it only when necessary. If you have an oily face, powder should probably be the last thing in your makeup kit.

Putting on too much blush

Diploma in health experts narrate that excessively or poorly applied blush can mar your face’s radiance totally. I have seen many people thrusting oodles of blush on their skin without paying even a scant regard to their skin tone. Imagine dark red tone plastered all over on face of dusky complexion. Sounds like a disaster, right?
There are a slew of some more ‘not-to-do’ things that will avoid making your entire makeup a disaster. Keep checking out the page for some more of these tips. Meanwhile, keep ‘making’ yourself up, through makeup of course!
